Carolina Farms

Carolina Farms Professionals from all over the globe visit Carolina Farms in an effort to observe practices to take back to their native countries.

GHA is affiliated with the Division TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication Handicapped Children) program located at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. In conjunction with Division TEACCH, Carolina Farms is used as a state, national and international site for professionals for training and studies of treatment. Groups that have visited Carolina Farms have

traveled from Germany, Japan, Denmark, Canada, Iceland and others. In addition, GHA has internship agreements with a number of educational institutions including Pfeiffer University and Stanly Community College. Each semester, students have the opportunity to train at Carolina Farms as part of their educational curriculum. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

Volunteers from Vortex Church in Albemarle spent Saturday sprucing up our sensory garden at Carolina Farms. Volunteers spread two truckloads of mulch, trimmed limbs, and helped with weeding. We have plans to add seating and other enhancements to the sensory garden. Stay tuned to our social media pages for updates!
