What an incredible evening as we celebrated our very own alumna member, Karla Heath-Sands on her induction into the Georgia Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame in Atlanta! This honor is a powerful reflection of a legacy built on excellence, faith, perseverance, and purpose. To witness Karla receive her flowers reminded us all what it means to walk boldly in your calling.

As members of The Links Incorporated, we are especially proud to celebrate a woman whose journey reflects our shared commitment to friendship, service, and uplifting our communities. Karla’s impact extends far beyond broadcasting—she represents the very essence of what it means to lead with grace and purpose. The Southern Area of The Links, Incorporated is investing in the next generation of leaders who will shape the future of agriculture, food justice, and environmental stewardship and we want you to apply.

This scholarship honors the powerful legacy of 1890 land-grant HBCUs and supports students committed to:
• Building sustainable food systems
• Fighting food insecurity and food injustice
• Advancing equity and economic empowerment in Black communities
📹 Video Requirement:

As part of your application, you’ll submit a short video (5 minutes or less) sharing:
– How a career in agriculture can uplift Black communities
– How your studies can address food access, justice, and sovereignty
– What inspired your passion for agriculture and community impact
