As part of the festivities, is proud to welcome Dr. Steve Perry as our Homecoming Convocation speaker. The community is invited to join us on Friday, October 9 at 10 AM in the Jones Brothers HPER Complex on East Campus.

Dr. Perry is a nationally recognized educator, author, and advocate for young people and underserved communities. He has been featured on networks including CNN, MSNBC, NBC, BET, TV One, and the Oprah Winfrey Network.

has been awarded a $2.24 million competitive grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency to develop and launch a regional entrepreneurship education program serving Southwest Georgia. The program will serve a 38-county region anchored by the Albany metropolitan area and aims to reach 1,000 entrepreneurs during the grant period.
