Our little baby bat is thriving😂! Adorable 4 1/2 week old kitten, Trendy, seems to like other cats and even the dogs. She is complaining about having to switch over slowly to big girl food, but those sharp little teeth are ready even though she is not emotionally ready to say goodbye to the mothers milk replacement 😬 Trendy is such a sweet mix of playful and lovable. Her fav place to sleep is on your chest so she can feel your heartbeat 😍

This tiny 4-week-old baby has already lived through more adventure than most cats do in a lifetime!! I mean, you can’t make this stuff up. Read the story about tiny little Trendy💕

Earlier today, an Auburn student watched this tiny girl fall from a car right in front of him while he was driving. Seeing this baby tumble onto the road, he immediately stopped his truck to help. Scared and confused, this little girl did what terrified babies do — she ran for safety. She scurried underneath his truck and climbed up inside the engine compartment of his Toyota Tundra, hiding as deep as she could.

What followed was a rescue effort no one expected. This sweet baby had tucked herself into such a tight spot that it took several Auburn students nearly 3 hours of patiently searching, coaxing, and carefully working together to get her out safely. Thankfully, they refused to give up on her. Because of their kindness and determination, this tiny girl was rescued before tragedy struck.

Now Trendy is safe at a vet office in Auburn, and will be picked up later this week to come into Sanctuary Animal Rescue, and despite her scary start, she is already proving she’s a little fighter.

She still has lots of growing to do and will need kitten care, food, vaccines, deworming, and eventually her spay surgery before she can go to her forever home. If anyone would like to make even a small donation toward her care, every dollar helps and means so much to our rescue babies.

And good news… this little survivor WILL be looking for her forever family! Trendy will be available for adoption once she is older and has completed her vetting and spay.

Who knows… maybe the family meant for her is already reading this post.

Bonnie is a 10-month-old black lab mix who has been with us since she was a tiny, starving puppy—found dumped at a gas station with her brother. While others have found homes, Bonnie is still waiting.
