Chartered on November 26, 2011, our chapter has been dedicated to uplifting and serving the communities of Shelby County, Alabama for over a decade. At Psi Xi Omega, we aim to embody the rich history, values, and traditions of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the first Greek-lette
red organization founded by African-American women. We strive for excellence in all aspects of our endeavors, focusing on sisterhood, scholarship, and service to make a lasting impact on our community. Throughout our 11 years of existence, we have been committed to enhancing the lives of those around us. Our chapter members are passionate about promoting education, health, civic engagement, and economic empowerment within Shelby County, Alabama. We actively engage in initiatives that address critical issues affecting our community and work tirelessly to uplift, educate, and empower those we serve. Education is a cornerstone of our efforts. We support academic achievement by providing scholarships and youth programs that empower young minds to reach their full potential. Through our dedication to education, we aim to equip the next generation with the tools they need to excel and become leaders in their fields. Psi Xi Omega is also deeply committed to addressing health disparities within our community.
