Akron Rescue Cats turns THREE on November 1st! 🩷
We never in a million years could have guessed what that first meeting at the campground would turn into. What started with a handful of independent rescuers and my family room has somehow become a rescue that’s helped over 1,500 cats.
We’re well past 1,000 adoptions, and this year alone we’ve helped over 600 cats with another 2½ months still to go!
I know we’re living it every day, and the exhaustion is real, but sometimes I look at those numbers and think… how did we actually do all of that?!
In just the last two weeks, we’ve provided spay/neuter and other medical care for nearly 100 cats and brought in 51 new faces from the streets. Some have been living with old injuries and illnesses for years. Finally getting them help means a chance at a safer longer healthier life and is the reason we exist.
We’ve raised $30,000 toward our capital campaign to build our future facility, and we’re deep in planning our biggest fundraiser yet on December 5th.
Your support has helped us accomplish more than we ever could have imagined in such a short time. Even if we stayed this size forever, I would be so proud to be part of something that’s helped this many cats as well as countless members of our community. There was a time when what we’re doing now was just a dream.
But we’re not stopping here. We have some HUGE things in the works, and I cannot wait to share our next big step with all of you.
We think you’re gonna love it!
And we hope you’ll join us December 5th for Meows Under the Disco Ball! After all the long days and late nights, it’ll be really nice to spend an evening celebrating with the people who helped make this possible. Grab your tickets, bring your friends, and come hang out with us. We have a whole lot to celebrate! 🪩 🩷
