Akron-Newstead Rotary Club

Akron-Newstead Rotary Club Our club is in District 7090 which is comprised of 72 clubs and 3,000 Rotarians.

The objectives of the Akron-Newstead Rotary Club are to work locally to implement the ideals
set forth in the “Object of Rotary International” and to strengthen the Akron-Newstead Rotary Club by
striving to achieve the following five specific objectives:


1) On an annual basis, select, lead, and implement two or more projects which will energize and
involve the club members.
2) Communicate wit

h, and publicize at least monthly, relevant information concerning the AkronNewstead
Rotary
Club with our several communities:

• Rotary club members;
• New members and potential new members;
• Erie and surrounding County officials and residents; and
• Client organizations receiving Rotary support.
3) Retain the active participation of current members and achieve a significant annual net gain of
members. Focus on leaders in major business, professional, and community organizations.
4) Promote fellowship, hospitality, and involvement within the Akron-Newstead Rotary Club for the
purpose of multiplying and strengthening members’ commitments to the club.
5) Focus Akron-Newstead Rotary Club’s limited financial and volunteer resources where they will
be most appreciated and make a difference in people’s lives. This entails defining the major
Akron-Newstead Rotary Club charities and activities for the year based upon:
• Criteria developed with the advice and consent of the membership; and
• Rotary International’s “Five Avenues of Service.”

Many of our Rotarian’s were out in the community today helping the Akron Lion’s Club with their Avenue of Flags program. On a day that we pause to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, it sure is nice to see our Town filled with American Flags! 🇺🇸
