Joanie is a truly special little girl with a story all her own. She was found as a kitten with a unique eye condition where her eyelids would not fully close. It almost appears as though her eyelids have grown over her eyes, leaving her with decreased vision. But don’t let that fool you—you would never know Joanie has limited vision until you see her eyes! She gets around amazingly well and doesn’t let her vision slow her down one bit.

Joanie is a shy girl and will need some time and patience to warm up to her new family. Once she feels comfortable, though, her playful personality comes shining through! Her silly antics and hilarious kitten behavior will definitely keep you laughing.

Joanie really needs another friendly cat in her forever home. She absolutely loves being a “big sister” and enjoys having a feline friend to play with, follow, and keep company.

Joanie may need a little extra time to trust you, but once she does, you’ll discover just how funny, sweet, and special this girl truly is. She’s proof that being a little different doesn’t stop you from living life to the fullest!

💔 Rest in Peace, Felix 🌈🐾

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Felix crossed the Rainbow Bridge over the weekend. Despite the hope for treatment, Felix was suffering, and his family made the heartbreaking decision to let him go peacefully.

We are so grateful to everyone who donated to Felix’s fundraiser. Your kindness and generosity helped support his family during this incredibly difficult time, and most importantly, his family was able to be by his side as they said goodbye. ❤️

While we wish his story had a happier ending, Felix knew love, and he had a family who cared deeply for him.

Thank you for showing up for Felix and his family when they needed it most. Please keep them in your thoughts as they navigate this heartbreaking loss. 💙🐾

Run free, sweet Felix. You were loved. 🌈

💙 HELP FELIX FIGHT FIP! 💙

Just a few weeks ago, Felix found his forever home through HSDC. We were so happy to see this sweet boy adopted, but his family recently received heartbreaking news—Felix has been diagnosed with FIP.

The good news is that there is now a treatment for FIP that can give cats like Felix a chance to recover. But treatment needs to begin quickly, and it can be expensive.

We want to help Felix’s family give him that chance. ❤️

If you can donate any amount, it will help with Felix’s treatment and give his family one less thing to worry about while they focus on getting him better.

🐾 Every $5, $10, $20—or whatever you can give—makes a difference.

Please consider donating and sharing Felix’s story. Together, we can help this sweet boy fight FIP and get back to being the happy cat his family just brought home.
