Clemmons Food Pantry

Clemmons Food Pantry Established in 2004, the Clemmons Food Pantry provides supplemental groceries to residents surrounding Clemmons.

As one of the largest pantries in the region and serve more than 900 households a month. Last year we distributed over 480,000 pounds of food.

I’m back!

This community is unbelievable. I’ve been overwhelmed by all the cards, prayers, texts, gifts, and calls I’ve received since my double mastectomy for breast cancer last month. I can’t imagine being supported by a more loving group of people during this time and I’m so thankful to be back. I’m happy to say the treatment went well and I’m looking forward to a long, healthy life ahead.

I’d be remiss to not acknowledge gratitude for all the people who have funded breast cancer research. Because of all the data we have, I was able to aggressively and effectively treat this disease.

Well, this post is way overdue.

We are so, so happy to have Cecily Throckmorton as part of our operations at Clemmons Food Pantry. Cecily is our Receiving Manager and takes care of all of our receiving operations, including pick ups, sorting, shelving, ordering, and keeping things tidy and appealing for our neighbors in need. She welcomes and engages our volunteers and makes everyone feel welcomed and valued.

Cecily keeps us rocking and rolling every morning and we couldn't be happier to have her around. If you haven't met her, you should! Thank you Cecily!

We had a super busy day on Monday! 17 volunteers came in to help receive over 10,000 pounds of food from Second Harvest, government food, local retailers, and our community. There’s so many people that give of their time and products to help neighbors in need. We are grateful to them all!

We've enjoyed having Nur Turner at the Clemmons Food Pantry this summer! Nur is a rising Senior at Wake Forest University studying Psychology and is serving with Americorp this summer. Nur is working on a project to help CFP bring partner resources to our neighbors during their visits here. We are grateful for her service, thank you Nur!
