Hurricane season is here, and now is the time to prepare for what safer recovery looks like before severe weather even arrives.

From safely using portable generators during power outages to knowing when lithium-ion battery–powered devices are no longer safe to use, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has resources to help you get ready, respond, and stay safe during hurricanes, floods, and other large-scale natural disasters.

NFPA also offers free tools and guidance to support responders and entire communities during storm recovery.
