We provide young people, with experiences to explore, create, and discover their happiest, healthiest selves - through inclusive community programming, social-emotional experiences, and supportive resources. We empower youth through life and leadership skills by offering an array of workshops, community experiences and a library of resources that help young people grow into happy and healthy emerg

ing adults. Danny’s Place is more than just a place - it provides in-person and virtual opportunities for young people to explore and create, to access helpful resources, and to grow into thriving, healthy emerging adults. Our physical space is a gathering space for our youth and our community, though our impact reaches far beyond the physical walls of Danny’s Place. We partner with several other community organizations to provide services, programs, and events to youth, families, and the greater community. There are a variety of opportunities for adults and teens to be involved. We hope that you will join us at DPYS where we imagine a world where youth develop valuable life skills, learn to relate to each other and become responsible leaders of tomorrow.

We’re so grateful to the local businesses and organizations helping bring our Back-to-School Playdate & School Supply Drive to life - through activities, collection sites, prizes, promotion, special displays, donated materials, and support behind the scenes.

From art and breakdance to co****le, bookstore goodies, Conant School memorabilia, school-supply collection points, and so much more, every contribution is helping make this evening more special for AB families.

A huge thank-you to our community supporters for showing up for local kids, families, teachers, and schools. We truly couldn’t do it without you! 💙💛

We’re excited to share the Back-to-School Playdate & School Supply Drive Event for Acton Elementary schools!

As Acton elementary families prepare for a year of big school transitions, Danny's Place and Huntington Learning Center of Acton are helping organize a simple community gathering to help kids meet new classmates, parents connect with other families, and everyone start the school year feeling supported.

Families are invited to join us for a relaxed back-to-school playdate with simple kid-friendly activities, a memories & hopes activity, and a school supply drive to support local classrooms.

Gardner Field Playground, Mass Ave, Acton

We are also collecting school supplies for Acton elementary classrooms. Most-needed items include pencils, washable markers, glue sticks, dry erase markers, scissors, erasers, tissues, disinfecting wipes, paper towels, and other classroom basics.

Thank you to the local businesses such as The Silver Unicorn Bookstore, West Side Creamery, True West Magenta Dance Place and Alma Mater Studio coming together to support this community.

If you've got a rising 9th grader at home, the back-to-school nerves this year aren't really about school supplies, it's the new building, the new schedule, the new everything.

Danny's Place and Open Door Education are hosting a free, two-hour workshop on August 21 (10am–noon) to help incoming freshmen get some real footing before day one: time management, note-taking, study strategies, and practical things like emailing a teacher or handling an unfamiliar classroom. Dr. Loprete is leading the session, and it's hands-on — not a lecture.

It's free, it's practical, and it's one less thing to worry about before the first bell rings.
