Fallout Creative Community is now an official United Way Community Partner!
We’re excited to join forces with United Way and the incredible network of local nonprofits under its banner. This partnership will strengthen our mission to build community through the arts: supporting artists, musicians, filmmakers, and creatives of all kinds as they pursue their passions and create real human connection.
Together, we’ll continue to embrace and empower people of all abilities and backgrounds to live together creatively.
We are delighted to announce another new partnership with United Way NESD! Using art and creativity as a tool for community building, the Fallout Creative Community brings people together from all walks of life, abilities, and backgrounds to foster a sense of belonging and engaging ways to be active, involved members of their community.
From a 2020 article in South Dakota Magazine:
Amy Sanderson, the Clinical Director at Northeastern Mental Health Center, has witnessed positive impacts on the Aberdeen area through the Fallout community's efforts to creatively engage people who might otherwise have been isolated. "I think Fallout has created a place where people can find community," Sanderson says, "where people can feel connected, and belonging and purpose. For our clients here — with mental health issues in particular — we know the benefit of having positive art outlets, and it's been a nice opportunity to get involved with some of those activities."
