✨ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 ✨

On 12 April, we completed another successful run of our annual programme for migrant workers, which aims to foster entrepreneurial spirit and nurture financial independence and management skills.

From exploring business ideas to learning practical saving and investment strategies, it was an encouraging time of growth, conversation, and support. This programme is designed in collaboration with the ICAI Singapore Chapter, which has been a pivotal supporter of this mission.

This is a volunteer-run initiative organised by the Dorm Mums under the Alliance of Guest Workers Outreach (AGWO) — a Movement of Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA).

A heartfelt thank you to our partners and volunteers for journeying with us to make this possible. 🤝

𝗗𝗘𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗜 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦!

On 21 October, 350 migrant workers were each treated to a hearty, scrumptious mutton biryani meal complete with boiled egg, curry, onion raita, bread halwa and mango drink, generously donated by Mr Karan and friends hosted by 𝗗𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗠𝘂𝗺𝘀.

It was a memorable night of warm fellowship over joyous, lively chats, prayers, and sharing. An evening when the "Festival of Light" literally lit the happy faces of workers.

Being away from home, working in a foreign land, was forgotten with the celebrations amongst friends and co-workers who communed in love, hope and wishes. Oil lamps were lit - symbolising "Victory of Light" in the midst of laughter, vibrant decorative colours, sweets, and gifts exchange. Indeed, it was a night that sparked the yearning of many more to come!

Wishing all our Hindu friends a Happy Deepavali, celebrating good over evil, lightness over darkness and knowledge over ignorance!
