Last week, we held two sessions of “Why Is My Child Doing This?” with our co-founder Faraliza Zainal, where parents and caregivers explored what may be happening beneath challenging behaviours. 🤍

Through the session, participants learnt how to recognise triggers and unmet needs, look beyond meltdowns, shutdowns and outbursts, and respond in ways that can reduce conflict and build stronger connection.

Mdm Fara also shared how retained reflexes may influence behaviour, along with simple and practical strategies that parents can try at home.

At the heart of the workshop was the DIG Dipper™️ framework: Discover • Investigate • Guide, encouraging us to look deeper before reacting to what we see on the surface.

We were so encouraged by the feedback, from parents calling the session “eye-opening” and “very helpful”, to requests for Part 2, 3, 4 and beyond. 🥹

A heartfelt thank you to Mdm Farah Juwita from Kamarudin House for helping make these sessions possible, and to everyone who joined us.

We hope you had fun, learnt something valuable and walked away feeling a little more equipped to understand and support your child.

We’d love to do more sessions like this. What would you like to learn about next? Share with us in the comments. 💬

Three weeks ago, we gathered for an evening we’ll hold close to our hearts. 🤍

As part of MIJ Hub’s 15th Anniversary, our annual Breath of Love celebration brought our students, families and community together in love for Rasulullah ﷺ through a Sunnah Exhibition, a skit by our teachers, and a beautiful Maulid led by our students with the asatizah from Imams and Muezzins Masjid Sultan Singapore.

What made it even more special was seeing our students at the heart of it all, from creating the decor to taking part in the Maulid itself.

The evening also marked the culmination of our 1 Million Selawat Campaign, a collective journey of selawat shared by our students, families, teachers and community.

Our heartfelt thanks to Masjid Sultan (Sultan Mosque) for welcoming us, and to Table & Event Styling, SimplyArchery and Royal Fragrances for helping make this possible.

Three weeks on, we pray the love from that night continues to live in every heart. May Allah accept every selawat and deepen our love for Rasulullah ﷺ. 🤲🏼✨

This year, as part of MIJ Hub’s 15th Anniversary, our annual Breath of Love celebration grew beyond the classroom. Our students and families experienced a Sunnah Exhibition, an interactive skit by our teachers, and a beautiful Maulid led by our students together with the asatizah from Imams and Muezzins Masjid Sultan Singapore. 🤍

What started four years ago as a simple Rabi’ul Awwal classroom celebration has grown into a meaningful journey of helping our students know and love Rasulullah ﷺ. The space was also filled with decor and materials created by our students, showcasing their creativity and talents.

At the heart of the celebration was our 1 Million Selawat Campaign, bringing students, families, teachers and the wider community together in selawat for Rasulullah ﷺ.

Our heartfelt thanks to Masjid Sultan (Sultan Mosque) for welcoming us, and to Table & Event Styling, SimplyArchery and Royal Fragrances for supporting this meaningful experience.

May Allah accept every selawat, effort and contribution, and continue to grow the love of Rasulullah ﷺ in the hearts of our students. 🤲🏼✨

Every parent carries the same hope: to see their child grow, progress and one day be able to stand on their own.

Humaira’s journey has come with its share of challenges, but also patience, understanding and hope.

With the right guidance, support and opportunities, her mother believes Humaira can continue to learn, grow and become more independent.

“At the end of the day, every parent wants the best for their child, in this life and the next.”

This is why we are building Seraya, a special needs school in Malaysia with education, therapy and support under one roof.

Alhamdulillah, thank you to everyone who joined us for our Grand Inclusive Maulid as we celebrated MIJ Hub’s 15th anniversary through our shared love for our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Habib Muhammad Al-Aydarus, Kiyai Muhaimin Abdul Basyit and Ustaz Mohamad Hasbi for gracing the event and sharing their beautiful reminders with us.

We are also deeply grateful to our co-organisers, revamp.sg and relite events management , for bringing this meaningful gathering to life, and to Masjid Al Abdul Razak for generously welcoming us into the mosque.

To our valued supporters, Majlis Al-Muwasolah SG and BALANG.SG (BSG) , thank you for being part of this special occasion. And to every volunteer who gave their time and energy to ensure the event ran smoothly, we truly could not have done it without you.

May Allah accept all our efforts, strengthen our love for Rasulullah ﷺ and allow the spirit of rahmah and inclusion to continue beyond this gathering. 🤍

Sometimes, when we understand the why behind the behaviour, we can respond differently — and connect better. ❤️

Behind every teacher is a side of the story we do not always get to see.

The tired evenings. The stories brought home. The little breakthroughs retold with pride. The scratches, the hard days, and still, the decision to return tomorrow with patience, hope and belief.

This Teachers’ Day, we asked the people who know our educators beyond the classroom to share what they see.

To our special needs educators at MIJ Hub, and to every teacher who gives more of themselves than most will know, thank you for staying, believing and celebrating every little win.

Happy Teachers’ Day. ❤️

"I wish I had started earlier."

It's something we hear from many parents. Not because they didn't care, but because they hoped their child would catch up with time. Many were told, "Don't worry, it's just a phase."

Deep down, though, there was always a small voice telling them something felt different. But uncertainty, fear, and not knowing where to start often led to waiting.

If you've ever felt this way, you're not alone. Seeking support isn't about labels. It's about understanding your child better and giving them the opportunity to thrive.

📩 Reach out to MIJ Hub. Sometimes, the first step is simply having a conversation. 🤍

Eid Mubarak from all of us at MIJ Hub 🤍🌙

This year’s Hajj simulation with our students and caregivers felt especially meaningful. Not just because our families truly enjoyed the experience, but because it felt like a full circle moment for us.

15 years ago, MIJ Hub first started at . To now return with our students, caregivers, and community years later was something deeply special and emotional for our team.

A heartfelt thank you to Masjid Sultan for warmly welcoming our families and creating such a meaningful experience for our students. The joy, excitement, and engagement we witnessed throughout the day meant so much to us.

May this Eid bring peace, happiness, and barakah to everyone celebrating 🤍

Some days feel harder than they should. The crying, the meltdowns, the routines that suddenly become impossible… and slowly, many parents start wondering:

“Am I doing something wrong?”

But sometimes, children are not trying to be difficult. They may be overwhelmed, struggling to communicate, anxious, or finding it hard to regulate big emotions.

And with the right support, patience, and understanding, these skills can slowly be built over time.

If you’ve been feeling worried, exhausted, or unsure where to begin, you are not alone. There is support, and there are people willing to walk this journey with you.
