RMHC provides families a home away from home with a while their critically ill child receives medical treatment, helping them stay together during challenging times. We create, find and support programmes that improve their health & well-beings. For a child facing a serious medical crisis, having mummy or daddy close by for comfort means the world to them. At RMHC, we believe that when a child is

sick, the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed, and our two main programmes are built on this belief.

1. Ronald McDonald House
Our Ronald McDonald House located in National University Hospital (NUH) provides a “home-away-from-home” for families, allowing them to stay close to their hospitalised child at no cost. The House was built with one key purpose: To give families every support so they can focus fully on their child. Families can make use of the stay-in facility of the Ronald McDonald House which comes complete with four ensuite bedrooms, a reading room, living room, dining room, laundry area and kitchenette.

2. Ronald McDonald Family Room

Located just steps away from the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit)/ High Dependency (PICU/HD) ward at NUH, the Family Room offers a place of rest and respite exclusively for families whose children are hospitalised in these wards. The Family Room can accommodate 14 persons at any one time, allowing families to take a break from the ward and recharge themselves in a warm, home-like environment. They can grab a bite, take a quick shower or have a power nap in the daily course of caregiving. We also run the following programmes to help families that are less fortunate:

• Birthday Programme
• Meal to Bond Programme
• Paediatric Happy Snack Pack
• Happy Wheels Cart Programme
• Respite Care Programme

As we celebrate our nation's birthday, we're reminded of the power of community and the kindness that brings us together.

At Ronald McDonald House Charities Singapore, we're grateful for the families, healthcare partners, volunteers, donors and supporters who help us keep families close during a child's recovery journey.

This National Day, a special thank you to Cartus Singapore, whose employees came together through an employee engagement activity to prepare snack packs for our families in IMH.

Today, we celebrate the extraordinary nurses whose compassion, dedication and unwavering care make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.

At Ronald McDonald House Charities Singapore, we meet families navigating some of their most challenging days. Along these journeys, nurses are often a constant source of comfort - offering not only medical care, but also reassurance, encouragement and a listening ear when families need it most.

Whether it's a kind word during a difficult moment, a reassuring smile after a long day, or the attentive care they provide around the clock, nurses play an invaluable role in helping children heal and families stay strong.

As a token of appreciation, our friends at Commonwealth Concepts partnered with us to spread smiles by gifting Swissbake freshly baked cookies🍪 to nurses. We are also grateful to Amy Choong and her team for the lovely crochet crafts🧶, adding a heartfelt touch to this special day.

🎬A heartfelt thank you to our partners, donors, volunteers, beneficiary families and supporters for joining us at the private screening of Audrey’s Children.

Inspired by the remarkable story of Dr. Audrey Evans, the film is a reminder of how compassion, courage, and community can make a lasting difference in the lives of seriously ill children and their families.

🌿✨ A Day of Discovery, Wonder and Family Fun ✨🌿
Last week, 10 families from NUH and IMH joined us for our annual RMHC Family Day Out at Mandai Exploria, located within Mandai Wildlife Reserve.
Mandai Exploria is an immersive experience that invites visitors to discover our planet through interactive exhibits and larger-than-life installations. From walking alongside 🦕prehistoric giants and 🔍exploring extreme landscapes to uncovering the wonders of microscopic worlds, every experience sparks 🤓curiosity and offers a fresh perspective on the world around us.

Beyond the adventure, the day was about something even more meaningful — giving families the opportunity to spend quality time together, create joyful memories and enjoy a well-deserved break during the school holidays. A special 🙏thank you to McDonald’s Singapore for hosting breakfast for our beneficiary families and staff at Curiosity Cove.

Happy Father’s Day 💪
Today, we honour the quiet heroes who give their all, every single day – the fathers and caregivers who stand strong for their families through every moment.
At RMHC Singapore, we witness the dedication and resilience of dads who show up with unwavering love – whether it’s keeping watch by their child’s bedside, offering strength in difficult times, or simply being there when it matters most.
This year, we were delighted to celebrate the fathers with lovely cakes sponsored by Adam & Mr. Ling, hand crocheted bow ties by Amy and socks with customised messages kindly contributed by J Paramaswari. Thank you for helping us make the day extra special for these unsung heroes behind their children's recovery journeys. Their strength, sacrifice and steadfast love often happen quietly behind the scenes, but their impact is immeasurable. ✨
And for that, we celebrate you today and always. To all fathers, thank you for everything you do. 💙

At RMHC Singapore, we see firsthand the quiet courage it takes to care for a child through challenging times. Whether it’s staying close by their child’s side, finding moments of comfort in our spaces, or supporting one another through the journey, these mothers inspire us daily. ❤️
This year, we were also grateful to celebrate with our families in a small but heartfelt way – with beautiful cakes by Karen and lovely scented candles by Mui Choo. It was a joy to see the smiles of our mums as they received these gifts.
To all mums, thank you for your endless love. Today and always, we celebrate you. 💖
