SGTech

SGTech Leading trade association for Singapore's tech industry, representing 1,400+ member companies SGTech's initiatives are guided by two strategic thrusts:

1.

SGTech is the largest community in Singapore where companies converge to advocate for change and drive what enables tech innovation and accelerates tech adoption to spur greater sustainability in the sector. SGTech's mission is to catalyse a thriving ecosystem that powers Singapore as a global tech powerhouse. To position Singapore as a global node for digital and data, built on trust. Among other

things, SGTech will:

champion the creation of a Digital Transformation Centre to help companies transform; push for standards, policies and products to be developed for Digital Trust; and ensure greater Cyber Security awareness and adoption.

2. The tech sector must take collective action and be part of the solution to Singapore and global Sustainability. Underpinning these two pillars, and all our business activities, is Talent for Tech.

The conversations at the Canada–Singapore AI + Q Roundtable made it clear that there is strong momentum for deeper collaboration between Singapore and Canada in and technologies.

Co-organised by SGTech and the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, in partnership with ABAC Canada and supported by the Haut-commissariat du Canada à Singapour | High Commission of Canada in Singapore, senior industry leaders and policymakers explored opportunities ahead of the upcoming Canada–Singapore AI & Quantum MOU.

Canada’s strengths in quantum research and AI innovation pair naturally with Singapore’s capabilities in deployment, commercialisation, infrastructure, and regional connectivity. Our conversations are moving towards tangible partnerships between companies from both countries, with follow-up discussions already underway across:

• Post-quantum cybersecurity and digital trust
• Healthcare and life sciences
• Maritime and critical infrastructure
• Defence and resilience technologies

At SGTech, we see the importance of pushing the frontier of emerging technologies. By creating platforms where industry leaders can exchange their ideas and identify problem statements, we can then build meaningful cross-border partnerships.

Looking forward to where these conversations lead in the months ahead.

Do your employees feel overwhelmed by the growing number of AI tools, unsure how to keep up with the pace of change?

We recently held a closed-door Ministerial Dialogue with Ms Jasmin Lau, Minister of State for Digital Development and Information, where industry leaders shared their perspectives on what this shift means for businesses and the workforce.

While AI adoption is accelerating, many organisations are grappling with capability gaps, workforce readiness, and the pressure to act quickly. The discussion surfaced evolving priorities around AI governance and how we can strengthen AI readiness across both enterprises and individuals.

We would like to thank MOS Jasmin Lau for her thoughtful engagement with the industry and all participants for making this a meaningful exchange. A special appreciation to Schneider Electric for their support in making this dialogue possible.

A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us at the SGTech Industry Gala 2026. With more than 600 policymakers and business leaders in attendance, it was energising to exchange fresh perspectives on how AI is reshaping work, enterprises, and industries.

As our Guest of Honour, Minister Josephine Teo, shared, it is becoming essential to be AI-bilingual. We need to be deeply grounded in our domains while developing strong AI fluency.

Against this backdrop, we launched the AI-Ready Enterprise Initiative, together with our pioneer strategic partners, Singapore Business Federation and Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SMCCI). This initiative aims to help SMEs move from interest to application, supported at every stage of their AI journey.
