The conversations at the Canada–Singapore AI + Q Roundtable made it clear that there is strong momentum for deeper collaboration between Singapore and Canada in and technologies.
Co-organised by SGTech and the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, in partnership with ABAC Canada and supported by the Haut-commissariat du Canada à Singapour | High Commission of Canada in Singapore, senior industry leaders and policymakers explored opportunities ahead of the upcoming Canada–Singapore AI & Quantum MOU.
Canada’s strengths in quantum research and AI innovation pair naturally with Singapore’s capabilities in deployment, commercialisation, infrastructure, and regional connectivity. Our conversations are moving towards tangible partnerships between companies from both countries, with follow-up discussions already underway across:
• Post-quantum cybersecurity and digital trust
• Healthcare and life sciences
• Maritime and critical infrastructure
• Defence and resilience technologies
At SGTech, we see the importance of pushing the frontier of emerging technologies. By creating platforms where industry leaders can exchange their ideas and identify problem statements, we can then build meaningful cross-border partnerships.
Looking forward to where these conversations lead in the months ahead.
