[A talk with Dr Dawn-Joy Leong] Scheherazade’s Sea: An Autistic Woman’s Journey of Being
We are excited to have Dr Dawn-Joy Leong with us for a special talk on her lived experiences as an autistic woman. The talk will be on 2nd April 2025, which was designated World Autism Awareness Day in 2007.
Dr. Dawn-Joy Leong discovered her Autistic identity around the same time, and joined the ranks of pioneering Autistic advocates, researchers and professionals. Today, the world now knows a great deal more about Autism than ever before with growing numbers of Autistic researchers, professionals in all fields of practice and self-advocates.
Dr. Leong will be sharing a multimedia story about her life journey as an Autistic woman, and her adventures with Lucy Like-a-Charm, her Greyhound, with a preview glimpse from her upcoming memoir-fantasie, “Wake Up in My Dreams”.
