Kicking off the ASEAN Future Catalyst Fellowship (FCF) 2026.

We officially welcomed 150 Fellows from 26 countries into a 10-week journey focused on Women in Tech for Impact.

We intentionally started the fellowship with leaders who have built real impact on the ground β€” grounding inspiration in lived experience, not theory.

Grateful to our speakers for setting a strong tone in Week 1:

Ellie Nguyen .ventures for sharing the journey of Quest Ventures from day one β€” how the firm evaluates startups, what investors look for, and how VCs are currently thinking about impact ventures.

Sang Yun Kwon (AidMi), Alyssa Chua (amble 🌷), and Harry W. (Remarkably) for sharing candid, behind-the-scenes realities of building tech-for-impact startups β€” the trade-offs, the resilience, and the persistence required to keep going.

Renee Chong (MangaChat) and Dr. JP Valdes (MADCash) for a thoughtful panel on navigating leadership, communication, and judgment as young changemakers.

Sean Tan for introducing the fundamentals of Social Entrepreneurship β€” showing how mission and purpose anchor the balance between impact and financial sustainability.

Russ Neu (Social Collider) for a practical, example-driven Theory of Change workshop that helped Fellows connect problems to real outcomes.

Appreciation to all speakers for spending their weekend supporting this cohort!

Over the next 10 weeks, Fellows will go through 6 workshops and 3 rounds of mentorship, before pitching their tech-for-good MVPs at our Regional Online Demo Day on 28 March.

Seeing this cohort step into uncertainty with curiosity and courage has been energising β€” excited to watch what they build together!

2025 was a year of real momentum. πŸ’«

From Catalyst for Change (CFC) kicking off in January, to the Hult Prize Campus Edition at NUS & SMU, to closing CFC strong β€” we built skills, teams, and confidence step by step. Demo Day in July showed what’s possible when youth commit, and SDG Open Hack in October ended the year with fresh energy and bold solutions.

To everyone who joined, mentored, volunteered, and supported: thank you. You made this year matter.

In 2026, we’re expanding across ASEAN β€” reaching more youth, building more teams, and growing this community beyond borders.
More to come β€” stay tuned. πŸš€

⭐️ ASEAN Future Catalyst Fellowship 2026
Theme Introduction: Women in Tech for Impact

This year, we highlight the perspectives and contributions of women in technology to demonstrate that the tech landscape is accessible, creative, and relevant to all youth. By presenting real experiences from women working across the tech sector, we aim to clarify what technology can offer and encourage participants of all genders to engage with it thoughtfully as part of their own projects and impact initiatives.

At the same time, the fellowship encourages participants to use technology in practical and imaginative ways to strengthen their impact projects. Whether it’s improving efficiency, uncovering insights through data, experimenting with no-code tools, or building simple digital prototypes, we want youth to explore how tech can make their solutions smarter and more scalable. No technical background is required β€” just curiosity and the willingness to try.

🌱 Our intention is simple: create a supportive environment where students across ASEAN can play, experiment, and innovate with technology, while gaining exposure to the diverse ways women contribute to the tech ecosystem. The theme remains inclusive β€” welcoming youth of all genders to participate meaningfully and build solutions that matter.

🌏 Running from 17 January to 21 March 2026, this fellowship brings together young people from the region to explore technology as a tool for innovation, creativity, and real-world impact.
