The National Youth Commission (NYC) has approved the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐬 (𝐋𝐘𝐃𝐂𝐬). The updated guidelines set a clearer and more consistent framework for how LYDCs are organized and operate across LGUs, ensuring sustained and inclusive youth participation in local governance.

With more defined roles, processes and coordination mechanisms, LYDCs are better positioned to support Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials in delivering youth programs aligned with national priorities, while also strengthening compliance and institutionalization at the local level.

Sa ilalim ng Republic Act 12232, ang mga elected Barangay Officials at Sangguniang Kabataan ay maglilingkod na ng 4 na taon.

🗳️ 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀: 4-year term, hindi hihigit sa 3 consecutive terms sa parehong posisyon.
🗳️ 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻: 4-year term, 1 term lamang sa parehong posisyon.

Solano, Nueva Vizcaya - The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation and the Municipal Youth Development Council (MYDC) of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya successfully concluded a Joint Team Building Activity on October 28-30, 2025, at Bakasyunan Resort and Conference Center, Iba, Zambales.

This strategic three-day event brought together youth leaders and council members to enhance teamwork, leadership, and collaboration, fostering stronger coordination in the implementation of youth development programs and activities in Solano. Highlight of the event was the presentation and adoption of the Municipal Youth Development Plan for Calendar Year 2026-2028 through a passed resolution.

The team building activity, expertly led by Bakasyunan staff, played a pivotal role in fostering camaraderie and collaboration among youth leaders, setting the stage for impactful youth initiatives in Solano.

The Youth Leaders expressed their gratitude to Municipal Mayor Atty. Philip A. Dacayo for his invaluable support to this initiatives for Youth progress and development.
