Good news! Antayin na lang natin ang final advise from Bureau of Customs (BoC)

DOF, INALIS ANG EXCISE TAX SA LPG AT KEROSENE

Inanunsyo ni Finance Secretary Frederick Go na nilagdaan na niya ang resolusyong nag-aalis ng excise tax sa LPG at kerosene, kasunod ng pagtaas ng presyo ng langis dahil sa tensyon sa Middle East.

Ayon kay Go, agad niyang nilagdaan ang resolusyon matapos itong makarating sa kanya.

Samantala, hindi muna aalisin ang excise tax sa diesel at gasolina, dahil sinabi ng Department of Finance na maaaring magresulta ito sa malaking bawas sa kita ng pamahalaan.

Sa halip, nakatuon ang gobyerno sa targeted fuel subsidies para matulungan ang mga sektor na higit na apektado ng patuloy na pagtaas ng presyo ng gasolina at iba pang produktong petrolyo.

Saudi oil supply disruption is creating a fresh headache for Indian refiners | Saudi Aramco has told Indian refiners it will not supply crude until further notice following attacks on its East-West pipeline. Replacement barrels are available, but higher crude prices and freight costs are emerging as the bigger challenge. Sa ikalawang linggo ng Setyembre, maraming bansa ang gustong bumili ng LPG ngunit kaunti ang nagbebenta sa global market dahil sa kakapusan ng suplay.

Dahil dito, umaabot na sa $500 kada metric ton ($500/mt) ang premium o shipping cost na halos limang beses (5x) na mas mataas kaysa sa karaniwang sinisingil ng mga trader. May nababalitaan pa tayong mas mataas pa diyan ang sinisingil ng mga trader dahil sa agawan ng supply.

Dahil sa taas ng premium at presyo, hirap o hindi na kayang bumili ng LPG sa global market ang maraming bansa o kompanya sa ngayon.

Ito na ang presyo ng mga seaborne LPG imports na dumarating ngayon sa ating bansa.

Sa kada DELAY NG SWAPPING CENTER ay pagkakataon para sa mga illegal LPG refillers na:

1. magkarga pa rin ng GENERIC LPG,
2. illegal na pagkarga ng ibang brands at
3. mag tamper ng other brands’ cylinder.

Ito ang main reason kaya’t talagang may iilan na kumokontra.

SEN. Bam Aquino on Friday urged the Department of Energy (DOE) to immediately finalize the operational guidelines for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder swapping centers, saying the long-delayed program would give households and small businesses more opportunities to buy cheaper cooking gas.

Para maiwasan ang aksidente, tandaan ang mga gabay na ito sa tamang paggamit ng small-size LPG cylinders (tulad ng 2.7 kg tanks o gas canisters):

1. 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲: Huwag na huwag gamitin sa loob ng bahay o sa mga kulob na espasyo.

2. 𝐈𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐨 𝐬𝐚 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐞: Huwag itong itabi o gamitin malapit sa naka-sinding stove, baga, naninigarilyo, o anumang pwedeng pagmulan ng apoy.

3. 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐠: Huwag itong gamitin sa matagal o mabibigat na pagluluto (heavy cooking).

4. 𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐞: Kapag ikinakabit o tinatanggal ang burner, siguraduhing hindi sasama ang mismong valve ng tangke.
