🚨 MINDANAO NEEDS OUR HELP 🚨

Following the devastating earthquake that struck Mindanao on June 8, 2026, and the continuing aftershocks, thousands of families in General Santos and surrounding provinces have been left to rebuild their lives.
In some of the hardest-hit coastal communities of Glan (Diocese of Marbel) and the Balut Islands (Diocese of Digos), families are currently living completely off the grid. Right now, electricity is not a luxury it is a lifeline. Without power, parents cannot contact family members, communities cannot coordinate relief efforts, students cannot continue learning, and emergency medical needs become even more difficult to address.

To respond to this urgent need, WeGeneration Initiative is launching:
☀️ POWERING CONNECTION, RESTORING HOPE ☀️
In partnership with our on-the-ground diocesan partners through Caritas Philippines, we are raising funds to deploy Community Solar Charging Stations to isolated and affected communities.

These solar-powered stations will provide free and reliable electricity so residents can charge:
📱 Mobile phones
🔦 Emergency flashlights
📻 Radios
🩺 Small medical devices and other essential equipment

HOW YOU CAN HELP
We are raising funds to purchase portable solar PV systems consisting of solar panels and 3 kWp power storage units.
💛 One complete unit costs Php 45,000.
A single Community Solar Charging Station can serve 200–400 individuals every day, providing critical access to electricity when it is needed most. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us closer to restoring communication, safety, and hope for families affected by this disaster.

Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Today we honor the strength, love, and quiet sacrifices of fathers and father figures who guide, protect, and uplift their families. A father’s role goes beyond providing, it is found in the everyday moments of patience, kindness, and leading by example.

In many ways, fatherhood reflects a higher calling to nurture, to teach, and to love unconditionally. It reminds us that true leadership is rooted in service and compassion.

As we celebrate today, may we also reflect:
How can we better show love, guidance, and care to those entrusted to us, just as a loving father would?

Yesterday, June 19 one of our green guardians, Ayessa Balais attended the Youth Inclusion International Forum event at Berjaya Makati Hotel with a theme "From Exclusion to Action: Co-Creating Inclusive Futures for Filipino Youth."

Sharing here some of her takeaways! 💚

‎YIIF hosting the event for youth inclusivity highlighting out of school youth (OSY) to be able to join proudly in work industry.
The event is meaningful and got many things to learn from. The youth testimonies from their background, struggles and hardships. Through the help of life project for youth (LP4Y) they were given a training or workshop that prepared for the professional settings and to their success being accepted and having a work to sustain their family daily needs. It's also interesting to know there are efforts being made to support and strengthen the rights for OSY. The team of atty. Pineda for filing Miranda rights for OSY able to make it for the senate reading and hopefully this will be pass. It's not wrong to add rights for the right people who needs it. For me in this country right now equality is not enough to help but equity is, it can reach other people to be able to step in the land where everybody.

‎In the panel discussion it mainly focused on the inclusivity in workplace where they tackle how a company prepares themselves to open opportunities for people who are often excluded such as Osy and person with disabilities (PWDs). They emphasizes the importance of teaching employees to be sensitive, respectful and be understanding to everyone. This made me realize that word inclusivity is not just being open to each other it reminds me with every action it comes with responsibility.

‎I also joined in the first workshop called a dream workplace. As a student I know what we're studying from school is still far from the realities of professional world. So with this workshop it helped me understand to balance what to expect, what can I do when I am entering the industry. At the end of the workshop good communication, responsibility, good leadership, and right people are the key for you to stay and be near for the dream workplace to work happy and exert full to get job well done. It's a great opportunity to be exposed with this kind people and be able to hear their inspiring stories.

Isn't it cool? Our rising generations needed more workshops like this!
