In celebration of National Flag Days (May 28 โ June 12, 2025), the Pasig City Cultural Affairs and Tourism Office (CATO) successfully conducted the Philippine Heraldic Law Seminar at the PLP Ground Floor Function Hall๐ต๐ญ
The seminar featured a discussion led by Pasig Historian Jared Carlo Echevarria of the Samahang Pangkasaysayan ng Pasig, who guided participants through the history, significance, and proper use of the Philippine National Flag, as well as the provisions of Republic Act No. 8491, otherwise known as the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines. A Flag Folding Workshop and Demonstration was conducted by the Pasig Community-Based Scouting with the help of Pasig City Girl Scouts, where participants learned the proper handling and folding of the Philippine Flag, including the appropriate procedures for retiring and disposing of unserviceable flags in accordance with Republic Act No. 8491. ๐ต๐ญ๐ต๐ญ
