Advocacy work continues!

Today, G-Watch convened barangay (Kapantaran, Brgy. Fort, West Marinaut, Raya Saduc, Panggao Saduc and Matampay) for the follow up activities on the proposed ProHealth Ordinance in Barangay Level.

A separate meeting was also conduct to follow up on the commitment of City Health Office (CHO) to update on the ProHealth's presentation to the upcoming Local Health Board meeting and a possible help with the passing of the following ordinances:

1. Ordinance creating the Local Health Board Advisory Council (Including Students, Mothers, and NGO with health reform agenda)
2. An Ordinance Enabling Transparency, Participation, and Accountability in Local Health Governance, Mandating the Setting-up and Operation of Citizen Charter and Feedback Mechanism in all Health Units of Marawi City.

Raha K. Agalin, Supervising Budget and Management Specialist
of the Bangsamoro Budget Office, walks us through public budgeting and the Bangsamoro fiscal system: the Annual Block Grant, the four stages of the budget cycle, and how the GAAB moves through the Bangsamoro Parliament.
The first step to shaping the budget is understanding where the money comes from and who decides where it goes.

Fifth installment: General anti-corruption platform and measures and others that may be described as anti-corruption agenda

We pooled information on the anti-corruption track record and agenda of political parties participating in the first-ever BARMM parliamentary elections as part of our Making Elections an Accountability Platform - MEAP BARMM.

The information can hopefully serve as one of the bases for the people of BARMM to decide on which parties can best address corruption. It does not yet include extensively the actual track record of the parties and their candidates, which we highly recommend BARMM voters to take into consideration too.

May this also serve as a reference in further engaging the BARMM political parties this election and beyond in the fight against corruption and in advancing transparency, participation and accountability in BARMM governance.

We will have five posts on this today:

2. Platform on transparency, mechanisms or access to information.
3. Platform on meaningful citizen participation.
4.
