This National Women’s Month, the Al Mujaadila Women's Association celebrated the remarkable strides made in gender equality, women’s leadership, and peace-building through the successful implementation of its initiatives.

✅ Meeting with Lanao Bangsamoro Women’s Commission and Provision of a copy of the Pre-Marriage Counseling Manual - With this initiative, AMWA provided a copy of the PMCM in hopes of it being used in a policy integration for the development of various legislation concerning CEFMU and other women's issues.

✅ Strengthened Women’s Participation – Through the Social Accountability and CP-GBV Referral Pathway, we looked into the existing information mechanism and support services provided by identified LGUs and whether or not these were accessible to the community and how these were practiced along with other non-formal mechanisms existing on the ground.

✅ Advancing Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Agenda – With the Bangsamoro RAPWPS 2023-2028 and NAPWPS 2023-2033, we are updated on the Bangsamoro Peace Process and the local implementing mechanisms of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB), we also agree on a common or updated local WPS agenda.

✅ Empowering Women in Electoral Processes – We focused on forming and strengthening cross-partisan groups that will participate in electoral processes. The consultation with Women Sectoral Representatives and CSOs on HELPPPS Agenda served as a strategic continuation and update to the previous agenda set in 2019/2022.

All of these cannot be accomplished without our partners (GZO, WeAct1325, and Oxfam Pilipinas) whose remarkable contributions don't go unnoticed.

These milestones remind us that when women lead, communities thrive! Let’s continue working towards a more inclusive, peaceful, and just society for all.
