The TUP Debate Society shall be a university-wide campus-based student organization aiming to hone and enrich communication skills, promote intellectual and professional discourse and discussion of issues in and out of the university, and foster excellence in the students through competitive speech and debate activities. The TUP Debate Society shall be the primary, most prominent and influential g

uild in the country advancing public speaking to propagate social consciousness and liberate our countrymen to be responsive and pro-active in societal issues. The TUP Debate Society was founded on 23 May 2016 by active student leaders who saw the need for education in competent communication and professional facilitation of issues which directly affect the student body as part of the University and as citizens of the country.

As part of the TUP Debate Society’s mandate to open the social consciousness of TUP students, the society releases its official statement regarding the deaths of 10 members of the New People’s Army and 9 civilians last April 19, 2026.

Sa gitna ng nag-iinit na panahon, ang hamon sa ating mga kabataan ay lumabas sa ating pamantasan at makiisa sa malawak na hanay ng mamamayan!

Pinatunayan ng mahabang kasaysayan ng militanteng unyonismo ng mga manggagawa na sa sama-sama nating pagkilos, makakamit natin ang tagumpay. Tuloy-tuloy ang panawagan para sa nakabubuhay na sahod, laban sa pasismo ng rehimeng Marcos Jr., at laban sa gerang agresyon ng imperyalismong U.S.!

ISANG TULOG NA LANG AT MARCH4PEACE NA! 🕊🚶

Bukas ay ika-12 taon na simula noong pirmahan ang kasunduang Enhanced Defense Cooperation ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas at Estados Unidos. Sa kasalukuyang agresyon sa iba't ibang panig ng mundo, tinuturing magnet ng karahasan ang mga base militar na ito, kaysa maging benepisyo para sa mga Pilipino.

Kaya naman, sumama sa March4Peace bukas, 9:30 am sa Kalaw cor. Taft at sama-sama rin nating ipanawagan ang agarang pagpapatigil sa gera sa Kanlurang Asya sa pagitan ng US-Israel at Iran.

Last April 24, the TUP Debate Society attended the SMEC Ethics Bowl 2026 at the Justo Albert Auditorium, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila — organized by the South Manila Educational Consortium Ethics Committee under the theme "Spotlighting Values in the Global Stage: Toward Achieving Sustainable Development." Competing teams tackled cases on labor and consumerism, international relations, academic integrity, and bioethics, with Adamson University taking the championship in back-to-back fashion, joined on the podium by Philippine Christian University and St. Scholastica College. The Society joined as observers this year, with eyes set on competing in 2027.
