The Girl Scouts of the Philippines joined the National Week for Overcoming Extreme Poverty in commemoration of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty this October 17, 2026, at the Open Air Auditorium, Luneta Park.

The program started through the entrance of colors led by the Manila Girl Scout Council. This gathering brought together community members, partners, and advocates to amplify stories of resilience and unite for peace, human rights, and safe homes for all.

National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) Secretary and Lead Convenor Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao also attended the event to show support for the cause.

Their stories deserve to be heard, and their voices deserve to shape change.

๐ŸŒฟ Climbing Higher in Faith

โ€œIf you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, โ€˜Move from here to there,โ€™ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.โ€ โ€” Matthew 17:20

As we conclude our Week of Communion, we are reminded that even the smallest amount of faith can give us the strength and courage to face life's challenges. Like climbing a mountain, our journey of faith may be filled with difficulties, uncertainties, and obstacles. Yet, we are never alone. When we put our trust in God, He guides our steps, renews our strength, and reminds us that even the most difficult paths can be faced with His grace. ๐Ÿ’š

As Girl Guides, we are encouraged to nurture our faith, practice gratitude, and remain hopeful even during challenging times. By appreciating who we are, the people who journey with us, and the experiences that have shaped usโ€”including the difficult onesโ€”we learn to recognize God's presence in every season of our lives. Through prayer and reflection, we find the courage to keep moving forward and the strength to serve others with love and compassion. ๐ŸŒฟ

May we carry the lessons of this Week of Communion into our everyday lives. Let us continue to trust in God's plans, remain grateful for His blessings, and face every mountain with faith, courage, and hope.

The Girl Scouts of the Philippines proudly participates in the ASEAN Youth Entrepreneurship Summit 2026 (AYES 2026) at the Mall of Asia Arena, joining young entrepreneurs, aspiring leaders, and innovators from across the region.

๐Ÿค Walking Together in Faith

โ€œIf we stay united and together for the cause of Jesus, then we will be stronger, and we can spread the Word of God much more and farther.โ€

St. Dominic and St. Francis remind us that unity does not require us to be the same. Though we may have different perspectives, experiences, and ways of doing things, we can come together through our shared faith and mission to bring people closer to Christ through love, humility, and service. When we walk together in faith, we become stronger, more compassionate, and more resilient. ๐Ÿ’š

As Girl Guides, we are called to embrace our differences, respect one another, and foster a spirit of unity in our communities. Through kindness, understanding, and encouragement, we can create an environment where everyone feels valued, welcomed, and accepted. By working together and supporting one another, we can become instruments of God's love and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. ๐ŸŒฟ
