| CONTINUATION OF SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES TOMORROW, SEPTEMBER 22, 2026

In line with the University Advisory, classes will remain in online modality tomorrow, September 22, 2026.

Accordingly, please be informed of the following:

1. Face-to-face classes across all levels will shift to online modality.

2. Office Employees will resume on-site work.

3. All on-site events and off-campus activities scheduled for September 22, 2026 (Tuesday) are likewise cancelled and to be rescheduled.

4. On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Related Learning Experience (RLE) shall be subject to the discretion of the partner companies.

5. Classes and academic activities in the Graduate School, School of Law, ETEEAP, CPA Review, and RITTC shall be subject to the discretion of their respective Deans and Directors.

Everyone is encouraged to monitor official advisories from the Cebu City Government, DENR-EMB 7, and the Universityโ€™s official communication channels for further announcements and updates.

| SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES TOMORROW, SEPTEMBER 21, 2026

In line with the Cebu City Government and University directives regarding the continued unhealthy air quality in Metro Cebu, please be informed of the following:

1. Face-to-face classes across ALL LEVELS will shift to online modality, while employees will adopt a work-from-home (WFH) arrangement.

2. All on-site events and off-campus activities scheduled for September 21, 2026 (Monday) are likewise cancelled and to be rescheduled.

3. On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Related Learning Experience (RLE) activities are suspended.

4. Classes and academic activities in the Graduate School, School of Law, ETEEAP, CPA Review, and RITTC shall be subject to the discretion of their respective Deans and Directors.

Everyone is encouraged to monitor official advisories from the Cebu City Government, DENR-EMB 7, and the Universityโ€™s official communication channels for further announcements and updates.

| USJ-R SSC REMAINS IN CLOSE COORDINATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATION ON THE CURRENT AIR QUALITY SITUATION

Today, September 20, 2026, the USJ-R Supreme Student Council 45th Congress continues to coordinate with the University Administration following the latest air quality advisory issued by the Environmental Management Bureau Region VII (EMB-7).

As of 11:00am, EMB-7 recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 260 at the Metro Cebu Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station, classified as โ€œAcutely Unhealthy.โ€ The advisory is being monitored by the appropriate government agencies in relation to the transboundary haze affecting the region.

While awaiting any official University advisories, the Council encourages all Josenians to exercise caution and follow the health and safety recommendations issued by EMB-7 and other relevant authorities. This includes wearing a well-fitting face mask, preferably an N95 or equivalent, limiting unnecessary outdoor activities, and taking extra precautions for those with respiratory or cardiovascular conditions.

The Council remains committed to relaying the concerns of the student body to the appropriate University offices and will continue to provide timely updates through our official communication channels as soon as official information becomes available.

Please be advised that SSC Services will be temporarily unavailable throughout Preliminary Examination Week, with the exception of Borrow-Ko-Beh, which will remain available for your needs.

University offices will remain open during regular office hours. The University Library will also be open for Josenians who wish to study, review, and prepare for the upcoming Prelim Examinations.

Students entering the campus may wear appropriate civilian attire.

| Call for Donations

Jan Vincent C. Mapula, a former Bachelor of Science in Nursing 2nd-year student, is seeking support as he continues to battle Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) with Lung Metastasis. The cancer has now spread to his lungs. His left lung has been repeatedly collapsing, while his right lung has fluid buildup, making it extremely difficult for him to breathe.

As he continues his treatment, Jan Vincent recently underwent a blood patch procedure to help address the problem in his lung. Unfortunately, the procedure was not enough to completely seal the affected area, and he now needs to undergo another blood patch operation as soon as possible.

As he continues to receive medical care, Jan Vincent and his family are facing the financial challenges brought by his ongoing treatment and upcoming procedure. They are humbly asking for financial assistance, prayers, and support as he continues to fight through this difficult journey.

As The Council That Does It With You, we believe that no Josenian should have to face hardships alone. Through unity, compassion, and collective action, we can help ease his burden and remind him that he has a community standing beside him.

| STUDY DAY ON SEPTEMBER 14, 2026

Through proper coordination with the University Administration, the Supreme Student Council shares that Monday, September 14, 2026, will be observed as a Study Day in preparation for the upcoming Prelim Examinations. There will be no regular classes and academic activities on this day.

Students are encouraged to use the Study Day to catch up on lessons, organize their notes, and prepare for the upcoming Prelims.
