Last August 13, 2026, The ๐—ฃ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐— ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—›๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜๐—ต ๐—”๐˜€๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป (๐—ฃ๐— ๐—›๐—”) - ๐—–๐—ฒ๐—ฏ๐˜‚ ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ, in partnership with the ๐™Ž๐™–๐™ฃ ๐™๐™š๐™ง๐™ฃ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™๐™ค LGU, brought the ๐˜พ๐™ค๐™ข๐™ข๐™ช๐™ฃ๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ฎ ๐™ˆ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ก ๐™ƒ๐™š๐™–๐™ก๐™ฉ๐™ ๐™Ž๐™š๐™ง๐™ซ๐™ž๐™˜๐™š (๐˜พ๐™ˆ๐™ƒ๐™Ž) to the San Fernando Primary Health Care Facility.

The service was led by ๐˜ฟ๐™ง. ๐™‰๐™–๐™ง๐™˜๐™ž๐™จ๐™– ๐˜พ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™˜๐™ค and ๐˜ฟ๐™ง. ๐™ˆ๐™ž๐™–๐™ง๐™ž ๐™‡๐™ž๐™ข, offering free psychiatric consultations, assessments, and mental health support to the residents. Psychology Interns from Cebu Normal University were also able to assist in intake interviews, information gathering, and patient documentation.

More than a service, this is a step toward a community where mental health support is easier, more accessible, and closer to everyone.

In partnership with ๐“๐จ๐ฅ๐ž๐๐จ ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ Local Government Unit, the ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐Œ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐€๐ฌ๐ฌ๐จ๐œ๐ข๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง (๐๐Œ๐‡๐€) ๐‚๐ž๐›๐ฎ ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ held a ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐Œ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐’๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐œ๐ž (๐‚๐Œ๐‡๐’) at the Toledo City Health Office last ๐€๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‘, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” to provide the residents of the city with free psychiatric consultation.

The consultations were headed by ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐†๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐๐š ๐๐š๐ฌ๐ฎ๐›๐š๐ฌ, ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‚๐ก๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐•๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ซ๐จ, ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‰๐จ๐š๐ง๐ง๐š ๐๐ฎ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ, and ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‘๐š๐ฃ๐ง๐š๐ง ๐“๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š assisted by the unit staff and PMHA Psychology Interns from Cebu Normal University.

Community-based mental health care continues to ensure that mental health services are in the reach of those who need them most.

Social and medical concerns include exclusion, human rights concerns, inaccessible health services, and the lack of psychoeducation among others.

Against a highly stigmatizing environment must be the change directed towards awareness, understanding, and respect for people with schizophrenia and other related disorders.
