Further, an open discussion and feedback-sharing session between Cebu PDRRMO, CVISNET Foundation, and barangay representatives was conducted. Stakeholders also discussed the next phases of implementation, including the actual deployment of the system, continuous data gathering activities, and the strengthening of inter-barangay coordination through digital platforms.
The successful completion of the 4-day BeST training marked a major milestone in the continuing implementation of the Cebu CARES initiative in the Municipality of Medellin. Through the collaborative efforts of Cebu PDRRMO, LGU Medellin, and CVISNET Foundation, Inc., more barangay personnel and local stakeholders are now equipped with essential digital tools and technical skills necessary for efficient governance, accurate community-based data management, and improved disaster preparedness and response. The participation of all 19 barangays further strengthens Medellinโs commitment to building smarter, technology-enabled, and resilient communities capable of responding effectively to future challenges and emergencies.
