The marvellous has now rescued five elderly lions from a defunct lion park, who were going to be euthanised. They will need help with funds - can you be a 'lionheart', and donate a little? :)

So grateful for everyone who joined us at our vigil yesterday for 🐮

🕯️A vigil is an opportunity to remind the public of the victims of their food choices - of WHO is on their plate - and for us to remember the animals in their final hours.

🚛 We weren’t able to bear witness to any animals close up, but we did see one truck head down the motorway, full of hundreds of sheep, their wool poking out the sides. We waited to see if this truck would return to the slaughterhouse after stopping at the effluent (read: waste dump) however it didn’t come back up, where it went was a mystery to us.

🚗 There were an awful lot of supportive t***s from drivers, thumbs up, and smiling faces from cars, which was a positive surprise and kept us going in the cold Wellington wind ☁️
