Everyone Out Everyone Out is a not for profit social enterprise founded to help kiwi kids develop through play, learning and nature.

We run events for families, holiday programmes and Nature School across the Wellington region.

Happy last day!!!
This spring was magic! If you would like your child to get some Everyone Out during term time get in touch to learn more about our nature school program or join us this summer. Bookings will open in November for our January programmes.

🌿 NEW DAY. NEW NATURE SCHOOL GROUP. 🌿

We’re excited to be starting a new Wednesday Nature School group at Paparangi next term!

We already have 11 tamariki enrolled, so the group is starting to take shape and we’re now looking for a few more tamariki who might be a good fit for this new group.

Nature School is a place for tamariki to spend a whole day outside with the time and freedom to play, explore, build, make, investigate and follow their own interests.

🪵 Hut building & bush play
🪢 Rope play & hammocks
🪚 Real tools & making
🐛 Exploring the natural world
🌿 Plenty of unhurried, child-led outdoor play

Our groups are mixed-age and we put a lot of thought into creating a group where tamariki can feel comfortable, connect with others and thrive. Places aren't simply first-in, first-served, we ask interested whānau to complete an Expression of Interest so we can make sure the group is a good fit.

🌿 SPRING HOLIDAYS AT BELMONT – BOOKINGS ARE OPEN! 🌿

Looking for something a little different for your tamariki these spring holidays?

Our Everyone Out Holiday Programme at Belmont is a chance for tamariki to spend their holidays outdoors, getting muddy, building, exploring, creating and most importantly playing!

🌳 Belmont Recreation Reserve is a true hidden gem with beautiful gardens, open lawns and mature trees that are perfect for climbing, exploring and nature play. We can also make use of the nearby Hutt River for supervised water play and exploration, as well as enjoying opportunities to learn about safe fire-building and cooking outdoors.

And when Wellington decides to throw some sideways rain at us, we have the Belmont Scout Hall as a dry base.

At Everyone Out, we believe tamariki need plenty of time and space for child-led, free play. Rather than filling every minute with organised activities, our experienced kaiako create an environment where they can follow their own interests, take risks, solve problems, make things and play with their friends.

They might spend the day:

🪵 Building huts and dens
🌿 Exploring the bush and discovering its inhabitants
🪢 Creating swings, zip lines and spider webs
🎨 Making art and crafts from natural materials
🔥 Starting a campfire and roasting marshmallows
🛠️ Learning to use real tools
💦 Getting stuck into messy play, slime, gloop and paint
🎭 Making up stories, games and adventures
🌊 Exploring streams and natural environment
…and whatever other adventures they come up with!

There’s no expectation that every child wants to do the same thing.

🌿SPRING HOLIDAYS AT PAPARANGI – BOOKINGS ARE OPEN!
🌿 ANNE IS BACK!
After many years of leading our northern Wellington Holiday Programme, this winter was the first time our wonderful lead kaiako Anne wasn’t at the helm.

But we’re very excited to say that Anne is back this spring! 💚

She can’t wait to see all her old friends again, reconnect with familiar faces and meet some new tamariki joining us for the first time.

Our Everyone Out Holiday Programme at Paparangi gives tamariki the freedom to spend their holidays outdoors, getting muddy, building, exploring, creating and, most importantly, playing!

The Paparangi Scout Den sits beside a wide open field, framed by mature trees and native bush. Just beyond the hall, a path winds down into the expansive Seton Nossiter Park, where the Belmont Stream flows through the valley.

It’s a fantastic environment for climbing, exploring, building adventures, discovering the natural world and making lasting connections with nature.

At Everyone Out, we believe tamariki need plenty of time and space for child-led, free play.
