Foster Hope - Wellington Foster Hope believes that every child in foster care deserves to know that their community cares abou June Matthews

Are you aware that most foster children arrive at their new placements with nothing but the clothes on their backs or with their belongings in a black rubbish sack? Let's change this!, www.fosterhope.org.nz

This is a project to make sure that these children know that someone out there cares about them. No child should be made to feel like there belongings are “rubbish” and Caregivers should be ab

le to focus on the emotional needs when a child arrives, rather than having to run around doing last minute/late night shopping. We are making up kits to be given to children when they are removed from their homes, with a bag and a carry all, basics such as hygiene products (toothpaste, shampoo etc) and some items that will show them they are loved (books, soft toys etc) but we need your help! Any donations are very much appreciated and will be going to New Zealand’s most deserving children.

A massive thank you to the Kapakapanui Lions Club (Paraparaumu), who have just visited Postie Coastlands and have donated over $1,010 of PJ’s to Foster Hope - Wellington! 💙

The Lions Club and Kapiti Rotary made this donation from the proceeds of Golf for Good ⛳️👏 We highly recommend checking out Golf for Good, they do an amazing job using their proceeds to support local charities and make a real difference in the community.
