WISE Charitable Trust

WISE Charitable Trust WISE Charitable Trust is not just a company that supplies and installs insulation.

Welcome to WISE Charitable Trust – creating employment opportunities through initiatives like home insulation, healthy homes, landcare, cleaning, and The Junction re-use shop. It is a community focused non-profit charitable trust delivering employment initiatives and insulating houses. In the year 2000 the trust expanded the operation to include an Insulation service which has developed over the

years into the main focus of the organisation. Since this time we have insulated well over 10,000 homes and created 300 jobs throughout the Taranaki region, and Rotorua. Another Service that stands us apart from other insulation companies is we provide Free No Obligation Insulation Assessments and the we are known for the quality of our workmanship.

Our HHI team recently travelled to Hāwera to connect with local services and share our kaupapa around warm, dry, healthy homes for whānau.

By supporting families to create healthier living environments, we can help parents taking steps toward bringing tamariki back home, while also supporting caregiving families to provide safe, warm homes for children in their care.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to build relationships, share knowledge, and be part of the support network helping keep whānau connected

As the colder months settle in across Taranaki, many whānau are doing their best to keep warm through winter. A warm pair of pyjamas can bring comfort, better sleep, and a little extra care during tough seasons.

We’re now collecting new pyjamas for tamariki and rangatahi in our community, and every donation makes a real difference.

If you’d like to help:

- Donate a new pair of pyjamas
- Help us spread warmth this winter
- Make a donation through our website

Together, we can wrap our community in a little more comfort and kindness. (More info in bio)

Warmth, comfort, and good sleep all play an important role in wellbeing, especially during winter.

For many tamariki and whānau across Taranaki, warm pyjamas can help make nights more comfortable, support better rest, and create a greater sense of warmth at home.

We’re now collecting new pyjamas for the WISE Pyjama Drive.

If you’d like to support local whānau this winter, you can find all the information, drop-off points, and ways to help here:

A huge thank you to the incredible team at Shining Peak Brewing for choosing WISE Charitable Trust as their May 5% Project.

Throughout May, 5% from every pint sold at Shining Peak will go towards supporting our Pyjama Drive, helping provide warm pyjamas to local tamariki and whānau this winter.

We’re so grateful for businesses like Shining Peak who continue to show up for the community in meaningful, creative, and generous ways.

If you’ve been thinking about visiting Shining Peak, now’s the perfect time. Enjoy a meal or a drink knowing you’re also helping support local families here in Taranaki.

Behind every warmer home is a crew out there doing the mahi.

For our latest “What Working at WISE Means to Me”, we caught up with Tusi, our Insulation Team Leader, to talk about growth, culture, and what being part of WISE means to him.

One thing he shared that really stuck with us:

"An advice I can give to someone joining WISE for the first time is be willing to be comfortable with being uncomfortable because in the uncomfortable you find new parts of yourself you’ve never knew about and that's exciting because you're growing !!! Even better is we’ve got a great crew here at WISE willing to grow with you and walk alongside you, no cap we’ve got great culture here and young crew too filled with vibes and energy."

We’re lucky to have a team full of good people, good energy, and a genuine willingness to support each other along the way.

A warm home changes everything, especially for māmā and pēpi.

This Mother’s Day we’re thinking about all the caregivers doing their best to keep their whānau warm, dry, healthy, and safe through winter.

Ngā mihi nui to all the māmā, nanas, aunties, and caregivers out there 💙
