Te Kāhui Maru Trust: Te Iwi o Maruwharanui are required to make amendments to its Trust Deed in line with the Māori Fisheries Amendment Act 2024. To support the implementation of these changes and help prepare our uri prior to the SGM, the Trust will be hosting online information sessions to help uri understand the proposed amendments to the Te Kāhui Maru Trust Deed.

📢 𝐏𝐨𝐮 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐀̄𝐡𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐮𝐢 – 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐢

Poipoia, on behalf of Pou Take Āhuarangi, will be holding a series of regional hui across the motu to engage on upcoming climate-related policy workstreams, including:

🌿 | Climate Change Response Act Amendment Bill
🌿 | National Adaptation Framework
🌿 | ETS annual updates
🌿 | Afforestation on Crown-owned land

They will also provide further information on the proposed Natural Environment Bill and Planning Bill, including how these intersect with climate change and resource management reform.

These hui are intended to create space for regional kōrero and shared understanding, helping to build capability within our Taiao networks and communities.

Ngā Iwi o Taranaki will host one of these regional hui in Ngāmotu.
