Last night at about 11:30pm the team were tasked by police to investigate a person on Snapper Rock. Luckily all were confirmed safe and we were stood down after a quick search. Thanks to our community partners that assisted with the scene to enable our search.

The team responded to 2 people in distress off Waitara this afternoon. Working with our Coast Guard friends from New Plymouth, we deployed off the River mouth to approximately 2km from shore. Thanks to the members of the community who called Police early, enabling us to get onto the water at the earliest opportunity before they were blown further out to sea!
