πŸ“š*Language and literacy are the gateway to lifelong learning, connection and engagement in society.**

Today at playgroup we had a great time bringing books to life through play! πŸšœπŸ¦πŸ»πŸ› From *The Little Yellow Digger* to *Dear Zoo*, *The Very Hungry Caterpillar* and *We’re Going on a Bear Hunt*, our tamariki explored stories through hands-on experiences, props and imagination.

πŸ’¬πŸ“– Every time we **speak, read, listen and respond to our children’s cues**, we are building the foundations for communication, literacy and a lifelong love of learning.

Such a great day at playgroup! πŸ’›

Through play, songs, stories, conversations, rhymes and interacting with others, children are building their vocabulary, communication skills, confidence and early love of reading. πŸ’¬πŸŽΆπŸ“š
