🏑 Renovating, clearing out the shed, or have leftover building materials? Don't send them to landfill – bring them to the Seagull Centre instead! ♻️

Usable building supplies can have a second life in someone else's project. Whether it's timber, doors, windows, hardware, paint (within guidelines), plumbing fittings, or other quality building materials, your unwanted items could be exactly what someone else is looking for.

By donating, you're:
πŸ”¨ Helping others complete projects affordably.
🌏 Keeping valuable materials out of landfill.
πŸ’š Supporting the circular economy in our community.

Before you load up the trailer, ask yourself:
"Could someone else use this?" If the answer is yes, we'd love to see it at the Seagull Centre!

Let's work together to give building materials a second chance.

🌿 Seagull Centre Kaitiakitanga Awards – Term 3 🌿

A big thank you to Lucci from the Seagull Centre, who came along to present the Term 3 Seagull Centre Kaitiakitanga Awards.

Congratulations to our two very deserving recipients:

🌱 Dallas - for working incredibly hard in the garden. Dallas takes every task seriously, sticks with it, and makes sure the job gets done. Ka rawe!

🌱 Brooke - for always taking such care in the garden and really challenging herself this term, including getting involved with planting up the Kauaeranga. A fantastic example of Kaitiakitanga in action!

Lucci also spoke about our Lid Challenge between Room 1 and Room 2, and we were very grateful for the awesome prize the Seagull Centre provided. Thank you for making the challenge even more exciting for our students! ♻️

And the Lid Challenge isn’t over yet! πŸ‘€
Next term it’s Juniors vs Seniors! Start saving those plastic lids over the holidays and bring them into school next term. (Collect lids from bottles, jars and containers, and make sure that they are clean and dry). Let’s see which group can collect the most!

A huge thank you to Lucci and The Seagull Centre for continuing to support our students and Kaitiakitanga within our school. πŸ’šπŸŒΏβ™»οΈ
