Grahamstown, Thames NZ

Grahamstown, Thames NZ Grahamstown was founded in 1868 at the northern end of present Thames, approximately one mile from Shortland. The two towns merged in 1874.

The two towns merged in 1874 after it emerged that the heart of the Goldfield was in Grahamstown. See below web address for more historical information...
