What is the most important thing in the world?

He tangata, he tangata, he tangata
It is the people, it is the people, it is the people

We are a Thames based trust and we are all about people. We believe that every person of immense value and should be treated as such. Our Services Life-Skills through adventure
Using adventure therapy, facilitation, and a proven therapeutic model our wellbeing programs will expand on selected life-skills in yo

ur year seven and eight students helping prepare them for their transition to high school and more importantly growing their resilience for the future.

“I really liked the way you worked with us as kids and the adventures helped me to connect and gain the trust, respect, and friendships of those around me.”
- - Students reflecting four years later

Why resilience programs? Our wellbeing programs were developed in response to New Zealand’s high mental health and su***de rates. Our programs help many of our young people to build on their strengths and support structures to over- come life’s challenges more adequately.

24-7 Youth Work
Working in partnership with high schools and the 24-7 Youth Workers Network we provide presence-based youth support and mentor- ing. In the primary schools we are building knowledge and skills through fun programs. In the high schools we are walking alongside and empowering young people to thrive. Journeying with Taiohi (young learners)
We provide a three-fold approach that seeks to see taiohi thrive as we walk alongside from primary school till the end of high school.
- Partner with schools to build resilience and wellbeing through our Res-Kids and Thrive programs with year 7-8 students.
- Continue the journey as we walk alongside Rangatahi at high school using a presence-based approach.

- Equipping parents and teachers with knowledge and tools to build consistent support

Forget the Plane Ticket – Just Wear the City! ??????

Are your current shoes a bit… ennuyeux (that’s French for "boring," but sounds classier)?
Do you want to walk a mile in someone else's shoes, provided that someone is a very stylish Parisian butterfly?

Behold: The MAHER "Ode to Paris" Oxfords.
These aren't just shoes; they’re a European vacation for your feet. Featuring the Eiffel Tower, vintage postcards, and some very confused butterflies, these printed masterpieces are the ultimate conversation starter.

Why you need these:
Instant Sophistication: You’ll look like you know exactly which wine pairs with a baguette, even if you’re just buying a meat pie at the local dairy.

The "Where’d You Get Those?" Factor: Be prepared to answer this question at least 15 times per outing. It’s the price of being a fashion icon.

Quality Build: Crafted by MAHER, so they’re actually comfortable enough to walk to the Louvre (or just to the mailbox).

Aerodynamic? Probably not, but the Eiffel Tower on the toe provides excellent structural integrity for your street cred.

Condition: Magnifique.
Style: Bold.
Vibe: "I might be an international spy, or I might just really like landmarks."

Don't let these walk away with someone else. Buy now and bring a little "Ooh La La" to your wardrobe! ???? Available at Re-Purpose Op-Shop Thames 307 Mary St Thames. https://repurpose.org.nz/pages/about

Michael Wilkes had the chance to chat with Rob Holding at Coromandel's CFM around graffiti in our community. And more importantly the need within all of us to feel like we belong. Check it out.

Unbelievable.

Earlier today I spoke to Michael Wilkes from the Living Well Trust in Thames about tagging, and mentioned (off air) to him that one enterprising young person a few years ago had obviously put his tag on a whole roll of white labels with a sharpie and then gone down our road late at night slapping them on all the cars.

Cut to the afternoon as I walked out the front of the office to move my car. I actually witnessed a young man slapping this on the speed bump sign outside the station. (He disappeared very quickly when he noticed I'd seen him).

I'll be replaying that interview with Mike at 6:50pm tonight as we talk about one of the hidden reasons people tag, or you can listen to it here (or on the Coromandel's CFM app)
