Huge gratitude to everyone's contribution from Papamoa Rotary Circus Quirkus and Bethlehem College for giving our kids an unforgettable (and joyously noisy) experience of top class live circus acts at the recent show in Tauranga on 7th May 2026 at the Bethlehem College Performing Arts Centre. Truly amazing and top class. (.... Nana felt like a kid again and enjoyed it too!!!!)🥰

Here are two very happy boys having a special moment discovering what is inside their Dream Boxes.....thanks to the joint venture between TeamUp Events and Zespri International in Tauranga. Also all credit to their devoted Koro who so thoughtfully, enthusiastically and beautifully cares full-time for these two awesome kids.😍

Today, in Tauranga at Trinity Wharf Tauranga, Kin Carers Connect Charitable Trust represented by Helen Hewitt in Tauranga, was the recipient of three beautiful Dream Boxes for three special children who are cared for by someone, (a Kin Carer), not their parents, living in our area. This was a collaborative effort from Team Up Events NZ Dream Factory event and Zespri International for providing the man and woman energy in their teams to put these abundant Dream Boxes together! Very grateful for our collaborative efforts in providing whanaungatanga and manaakitanga to our local Tauranga City Council community.

As we do, in providing real life advocacy and resources for our kin carers, Anne in Rotorua, held a very informative and well attended workshop about Wills and Enduring Power of Attorney, last week, under the guidance of Rotorua District Community Law Centre Both these legal matters of life are hugely relevant for our members in ensuring their wishes can be relied upon, to include the whanau children they care for, in their Wills and for children's ongoing care, should the Carer suddenly and unfortunately encounter an accident of some kind. Well done Anne!

Every week there is more and more whanaungatanga and manaakitanga being shared to the people. Kin Carers Connect leaders, one being the wise and strong Anne, in Rotorua, open their hearts and provide spiritual, emotion, practical and ongoing pastoral care, to our Kin Carers, the people doing the hard yards, the ones who give a safe home to these children when their own parents were not exactly able to do that....

Kin Carers Connect are abundantly grateful that Good Neighbour in the Bay of Plenty understands the needs of Kin Carers, especially with regards to 'food insecurity'...these children in our care need a lot of feeding to help them feel satisfied, to be healthy and grow.... our budgets often do not stretch as far as we would like it to... and that is where Good Neighbour is such a blessing to us!
