A big thank you to PAK'nSAVE Rangiora and Hellers for their generous support of our Fair this year. From supplying goods and donating vouchers to lending BBQs and marquees, we’re incredibly grateful for your generosity in helping make the day such a success.
🔥🥓
And a special shout-out to the Kiesanowski family for their fresh produce donations, helping keep our ever-popular burgers stacked with the good stuff and our produce stall well stocked. 🍔

We were proud to support the Swannanoa Country Fair again this year by providing photography for the event 📸🎪

The fair is a major fundraiser for Swannanoa School and a great day out for the wider North Canterbury community. It was good to be back, supporting an event that brings so many people together.

There is also a personal connection for us. Michael from the MoMac team has close ties to the school, with his dad, Brian Price, serving as Principal. Brian is a respected leader within the school and the wider education community, which makes it even more meaningful for us to be involved and support an initiative that is close to home.

Gary headed along to capture the day. There was a strong turnout, plenty of quality stalls, and a great atmosphere across the domain. We made a timely exit before the rain rolled in, but not before capturing a solid range of images that will support next year’s marketing and provide a recap of the day.

We care about backing local initiatives that make a difference. Supporting events like this is one small way we can give back to the North Canterbury community.

Thanks so much to everyone who came along today – what a fantastic day! And how lucky were we that the rain held off until the final half hour! 🌦️🙌

We’ve had a few messages come through about stalls and lost property, so please bear with us while we recover from a very big day (or days, if you count all the set-up! 😅).

We’ll endeavour to get back to everyone as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience and support ❤️

We’ve had a few questions about entry fees and payment options, so here’s everything you need to know 👇

Entry:
$5 per adult, kids under 15 are free.
You can pay by cash or eftpos at the gate.

School-run stalls:
Our Food Market, Cake Stall, BBQ, Cake & Tea, Cold drinks, White Elephant, Secondhand Clothing & Books (and more!) all have eftpos facilities available – so you can pay by eftpos or cash, whatever suits you.

Craft vendors:
Payment options vary from stall to stall, depending on whether vendors have eftpos. If you need cash, we have a cash-out facility available at the food market tent ($2 surcharge).

We hope that helps! See you all tomorrow 🎉

Please follow the parking instructions from our previous posts – it will be busy, so allow a little extra time, be patient, and most of all…enjoy the day! 🌻

Rain, hail or shine, the Fair is ON! 🌦️

We’ve had lots of questions about the weather and rest assured, the Fair will go ahead no matter what the forecast brings. It's looking better, with things getting a bit dicey later in the afternoon when the Fair should be well and truly wrapped up.

Postponing isn’t as simple as it sounds. With the massive amount of set-up, road closure permits for a specific date, hire equipment, and coordinating hundreds of volunteers, moving an event of this size just isn’t a practical option.

If Ed Sheeran can perform two consecutive nights in the rain with shows like that, we can definitely make a Country Fair happen! 🎶🌧️

See you Sunday – gumboots optional! 😉😂

Heading to the Swannanoa Country Fair this Sunday? 🌻🎪

Here’s a handy map showing all designated parking areas for our fair-goers.

Please follow the signage, be patient, stick to the 30km/h speed limit 🚗 and our friendly parking wardens will guide you in.

⚠️ The yellow areas marked are our dedicated parking areas. Please park here instead of on Tram Road. There's heaps of space so please follow the directions of our signs, parking wardens, or the Men at Work team.

♿ Accessible/Disability parking is available directly across the road from the Fair at Swannanoa School. Please let a warden know if you require this parking and remember to bring your display card.

🚫 Please NO parking on Tram Road – even if you see others doing it, its a major hazard. Yes, the road will be busy and it might feel like the only option, but our paddocks can hold hundreds of vehicles, so there’s plenty of space for everyone!

We can’t wait to see you there....and yes it will be going ahead, rain or shine! 🌧☀

‼️ SITE MAINTENANCE SPONSOR‼️

We’re incredibly grateful to the team at Foleys for coming on board as new sponsors for this year’s Fair.

Their support helps fund their staff member (and school parent) Scott, who spends most of the week on site at Swannanoa Domain setting up the electrical, marquees, and all that crucial behind-the-scenes work that makes the Fair possible.

Need plumbing, electrical, gasfitting or drainage? The team at Foleys has you covered. Check them out online at www.foleys.co.nz.

2 MORE SLEEPS! 🎉

We can’t wait to see everyone on Sunday from 10am onwards! Feel free to save this map to your phone to help navigate your way around the Fair on the day.

‼️A few quick reminders to ensure a smooth and enjoyable day:

🚗 Traffic Alert: Tram Road will be VERY busy, so please drive slowly and be patient. Please follow the signage, and directions from the Men at Work team and our parent volunteers who are on traffic patrol and parking.

🤝 Kindness & Patience: This fair is run entirely by PARENT, TEACHER & COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS who have put in an incredible amount of work to make it all happen. While we strive for a seamless experience, there may be areas that get crowded, and waiting might be necessary. Please be understanding and respectful – a little kindness goes a long way!

We're all doing our very best to make this day great, and we appreciate your support.

Enjoy the fair, have fun, and we look forward to seeing you all on Sunday, rain or shine, the Fair will be going ahead! 😊
