2026 Netball Season Update
Men’s Premier

Following a bunch of questions from possible players, we feel we need to outline the clubs position for the 2026 season in Nelson.

We’re incredibly disappointed to advise that our application to re-enter the Nelson Netball Premier Competition for the 2026 season has been declined.

After previously competing in Premier and seeing strong support from players, teams, officials, and spectators, this decision is difficult to understand. We felt our inclusion was of benefit to everyone involved, while providing pathways and opportunities for a minority sport in mens netball.

This leaves our players without a clear pathway to compete, develop, and be part of the local netball community at the highest level. For now, any boys or men still wanting to play are encouraged to contact Nelson Netball directly to explore what opportunities may be available.

We remain proud of what this team and club had built, and we are grateful for all the support received - we just wish we had a chance to continue and be included at an appropriate performance level.
