Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming Elenoa and Hayla from the Taeaomanino Trust to the warehouse to deliver a very generous donation of new clothing from their staff team. We supply a number of packs to the families this community partner organisation supports.

As well as their donation, their kind words really meant a lot to us. “Thank you to you and your wonderful team for all that you do, not only for the whānau we support, but for the community"

Yesterday, we were pleased to welcome Minister Matt Doocey, Associate Minister for Health and Minister for Mental Health, and his guests to Taeaomanino Trust.

The afternoon began with a warm welcome and opening prayer, followed by a welcome from our Board Chair, Muliagatele Bella Bartley.

Our CEO, Theresa Nimarota, shared the purpose of the gathering and an overview of the work we do to support our community, before Minister Doocey introduced himself and shared his perspectives.

The afternoon then opened into a valuable question and discussion session, giving our team and community an opportunity to share their experiences, ask questions and discuss the health and wellbeing needs of our Pacific communities.

The programme concluded with closing remarks and prayer from Board Member Jean Mitaera.

Thank you Minister Doocey and everyone who joined us for an afternoon of connection, talanoa and shared understanding. 💙🌺

✨ What an amazing day at our Matua Wellbeing Event! ✨

It was wonderful to see the energy, singing, dancing and laughter as our elders came together, connected with each other and took the time to learn more about their health and wellbeing. 💙

A big thank you to Wellington Rheumatology Specialist Unit for Te Whatu Ora Health NZ, Bowel Screening NZ and Stroke Aotearoa for being there to share valuable health information and answer questions with our attendees.

Our Matua also had the opportunity to take part in health checks, including blood pressure checks, and learn more about the importance of looking after their health as we age.

🙏🏽 Thank you to all our attendees and the health providers who supported the event. Your contribution, time and knowledge helped make the day such a success.

Most importantly, it was a day filled with connection, culture, laughter and wellbeing. 💙✨
