RANGIORA NEW LIFE SCHOOL – Yr 1-13 (463 students)

Prayer & Praise Points
We give thanks that early this term Rangiora New Life School has been able to begin using our new seven-classroom block for our Year 1–4 classes. Later this term we will also move into our newly upgraded and refurbished Administration block, originally built when the school roll was around 200 students. As a school we continue to grow, with our roll increasing over the next three years toward a maximum roll cap of 570 students. We are grateful for the provision and priority given by our proprietor in supporting this development.
We have also seen some staff retirements, along with roll growth that has required us to appoint six new teaching staff this year, including four who are new to the teaching profession. We pray for these new staff members, and for all new teachers serving in Christian schools throughout New Zealand, that God would strengthen, guide, and encourage them as they begin their journey in Christian education.
We also acknowledge the staff who have been operating from temporary buildings and spaces during Term 1. It has been a real blessing to have such dedicated staff who have continued to serve our students faithfully and keep the school running so well from those temporary spaces.
Finally, we pray for Christian school proprietors across New Zealand, who continue to navigate significant property pressures and development challenges in 2026, asking that God would give them wisdom, provision, and perseverance in their stewardship.

WAIPA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – Yr 1-8 (99 students)

Praise points:
Through His provision of roll growth, Waipa Christian School was able to apply for expansion to include the secondary years. We welcomed our first year 9's in term 1, 2026. We pray that this provision will continue to see His kingdom expand in the Waipa district.

Another praise point is seeing a committed group of parents coming together for prayer every Thursday morning in our staffroom. They always ask for the Whiteboard as they continue in prayer for other Christian Schools.

Prayer Diary - week starting Monday 27th April

MARANATHA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL - Yr 1-8 (150 students)
Praise and prayer:
• We start every morning as a whole school with a bible reading, prayer and worship. Our student councillors have started leading this time. We thank the Lord for the blessing of being able to start our day in this way and for having our students give words of encouragement to others.
• We thank the Lord for wonderful students, staff and whānau and our committed board members.
• We thank the Lord for the provision of two new teachers to start in term 2. He has provided teachers with a heart for Christian education who will be a blessing to our school. Please pray for them as they settle into new roles in a new school.
• This year one of our annual plan targets is around teaching akonga discernment, to be able to navigate this world in a way that honours God. We are so thankful for the teacher who has taken the lead role in this. The Lord has given her energy and enthusiasm and is working through her to influence many young lives. May the Lord be praised.
• We are currently preparing for a whole school production to be held in Term 2 Week 2. We pray that the message of hope reaches people and that the Lord is honoured through it.
• We pray for possible future building projects. We have a full school roll and a waiting list for those who want Christian Education for their children. We ask that the Lord will provide a way to make this happen.

WESTMINSTER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
(Auckland, Yr 1-8, approx 360 students)

Nestled in the business of big, bustling Auckland is a stunning piece of real estate that, once upon a time, was a quarry. Today, it is home to Westminster Christian School, set back from Albany Highway, amidst natural bush, birds and a trickling stream. We are an established full primary school with approximately 360 students.

We give praise to the Lord for many blessings, among them are the following:
• Our beautiful setting
• Wonderfully inclusive community
• Strong relational trust between the school, MoE and Proprietors
• Long-serving staff and stability
• A rich culture of love, peace and hope
The power of prayer is a cornerstone of our faith. We would appreciate prayers over the following:
• Sustainability and strength for staff as we implement curriculum changes
• Protection for all our beautiful tamariki as they navigate an ever-changing, broken world.
• Godly wisdom for the leaders, proprietors and trustees as we continue to plan for the future
• Protection for our school and all schools in New Zealand from extreme weather events, which are increasingly common
On behalf of all of us at Westminster Christian School, we delight in sharing a little bit about ourselves with you.
