Southern Ruahine Kiwi are working on an ambitious and deeply meaningful plan to bring taonga species back. We are rolling out a mustelid pest management plan in the southern Ruahine range. This work will prepare the way for Kiwi reintroduction to a forest they’ve been missing from for more than 50 years.

Be part of the next chapter of this challenging work.

Did you know there are now more than 2,000 predator traps protecting the southern Ruahine Ranges?

Over the past four years, thanks to Jobs for Nature, Horizons, our first Givealittle campaign, and generous supporters, we’ve built one of the largest trap networks in the region. These traps now cover 20,000 hectares between Āpiti and Norsewood.
This work is already protecting whio and native species, and it’s laying the groundwork for something even bigger.

Every trap is a step forward. Support the work or learn more about how you can help.
