Many of us know what a "Spin-in" is, but also lots of us don't. If we search the term "spin-in" in the web, we either get results for gambling or gym spin class. Isn't that crazy?

Our "Solstice Spin-in" is now called Fabulous Fibre Fair for that reason. Although the name has changed, the nature of the gathering has not. The most important is still for us to offer a time and place for our crafters to catch up with one another and support the local crafts traders: coloured sheep breeders, wool and yarn manufacturers and importers, dyers ....

The second important goal is to show case our skills by way of demonstrations - spinning, weaving (loom & tablet), felting, crochet and wool preparation - at this event.

The biggest difference between Solstice Spin-in and Fabulous Fibre Fair is that the event is totally FREE. We'd like to welcome all who have been wondering what we do to come along and see for themselves and have a go. In addition to traders, we have the "White Elephant", where you can grab a wheel, a drum carder, yarn, book for a bargain price. You can also purchase raffle tickets to win some goodies, all are donated by the traders and our members.

In other words, we'd like to WELCOME you to our Fabulous Fibre Fair!
