Hokowhitu Village Centre thanks PNCC for $1500 Play Initiatives Grant in support of Hokowhitu Hidden Books. Children's books are hidden in playgrounds in Palmerston North for children to find, read and keep or rehide. Go take a look each weekend.

Thank you Hokowhitu 4 Square for holding the old AED (defibrillator) in store for so many years. Hato Hone St John, with support from Central Energy Trust, have placed a new AED cabinet by the front door of Hokowhitu Village Centre, accessible to the public 24/7. The AED (Automated External Device) can help save someone's life during a sudden cardiac arrest. The AED is right beside HVC front door, clearly visible from the carpark. Instructions are on the cabinet – the first thing to do is call 111 to get an access code to open the cabinet.
