Lyttelton Toy Library Soon to announce details as a new community group takes on the Library.

Back before the earthquakes the Toy Library operated from the now destroyed Plunket rooms, then moved to garages oin Canterbury Street before settling in the Lyttelton Recreation Centre Gym. New members are welcome and anyone can join simply by coming along and paying annual subs. There is a good selection of solid toys, games, dress-ups and puzzles for children up to 6. We welcome suggestions as

we look for premises that would allow the Library to remain set up, so we could provide extended or additional hours to the community.

One door closes, and another one opens.

The Lyttelton Toy Library will be running its final session on Saturday 21st March under the banner of Project Lyttelton.

This does however leave an opening for opportunity for another individual or group to take on the library. The toys will need to be moved to new premises in the next couple of months.

If you know someone who is willing to take on this project in a voluntary fashion, or as their own community business endeavour, please get in touch to discuss.

Failing that, we'll be having a giant TOY SALE in the coming months, so keep your eyes peeled for bargains.

Thank you all so much for your ongoing support over the years, but it's time to give this library wings!

Thank you all for being fabulous library patrons!

If you can bring back all outstanding toys I'd be so very grateful... and you can even take something out for the holidays.
