Kids in the garden have been making prints with flowers by simply pressing (bashing) them inbetween the folded fabric.
Rather than guessing the plants, they've told me there are pressings of:
Blue Borrage
Calendula
Holly hocks
Geranium
Pineapple sage
Cosmos
Daisys
Simple exploritory nature play that is creative and gets them familiar with the plants around them.
Join us in the garden next week for more fun activities for the kids... who knows what they'll come up with.

For those that come in and assist with the garden you can get a sweet reward for your labour.
Every week we set up a shared lunch with a delicious soup from Glynn, fresh baked bread, freshly made butter, greens from the garden and a dessert made with seasonal fruit. All that and scintillating company too.
Fabulous views provided by Whakaraupo harbour.
Volunteer between 10am - 12:30pm any Wednesday at the Community Gardens. Just pop on in!

While the workmen in the garden tending to retaining wall there is no access St David Street/Oxford Street.
