What an incredible day hosting our National President Gerry and Executive officer Ann Marie at Vinnies Hamilton! 🫶

It’s always such a joy to welcome our national leaders and give them a real glimpse into the heart of our work, from the hands on support our team provides to the beautiful connections we build within our local community.
Grateful for their visit, their encouragement, and the chance to celebrate the amazing work our team and volunteers do every single day. 💙

Homeless residents say they’re being pushed out of the city centre, making life on the streets even harder.

‘For us on the street, it is hard.’

What’s the solution here? More support or just moving the problem?

This morning we opened the doors to our Breakfast Club at Rolton Community Centre and invited our street whānau in for a warm feed. ☕️
No judgment, no rush, just good kai, hot drinks, and real kōrero.
It was powerful sitting kanohi ki te kanohi (face-to-face), hearing their stories, their struggles, and their dreams.

These are our people. Our neighbours. Our community.
We’re grateful for the chance to show aroha in action, but man… we know we need to do more. One breakfast isn’t enough. Connection isn’t enough. We have to keep showing up.

The big question is, can we do more in this space here in Hamilton?

Together, we’re making a difference. 🙏

Without your support, projects like the Good Neighbours Project (Milo Caravan) wouldn’t be possible. Thank you for every donation of goods, money & time, you’re giving hope and full tummies. 💙

At Vinnies we honour the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of our Anzacs. From Gallipoli to the battlefields of the world, their legacy lives on in the freedom we hold dear 🇳🇿🇦🇺

We will remember them.
Always 🌺

Today at our Vinnies community lunch we came together to honour our ANZAC soldiers, past and present.

We stood in silence as the Last Post played, hearts full of gratitude for the courage and sacrifice that shaped our nation.
Just like the diggers, we shared bully beef and crackers, and of course the Anzac biscuits went down an absolute treat! 🍪

Lest We Forget. 🇳🇿🇦🇺

Thank you to everyone who joined us, your presence made it so special.

A huge thank you to Elizabeth (Nelson) and Lorraine (Picton) and their amazing teams for hosting us so beautifully this year for our AGM. Your hospitality and hard work made the weekend truly special.
Special thanks also to our National President Gerry for his dedicated leadership and vision.

It was so inspiring to hear all the incredible good work happening across New Zealand through the Society of St Vincent de Paul. Stories of compassion, service, and community in action always remind us why we do what we do.

Grateful for the connections, the energy, and the shared commitment to helping those in need.
